Time is going so fast!

Time is going so fast! I don't know about anyone else, but it feels like life is moving at warp speed at our house. Here is KK at almost 16 months during a family hike.

My favorite things

This girl LOVES animals! Books about animals, animals at the zoo, stuffed animals, dogs out for their walks, animals on TV, the birds in the backyard,

and the bunnies that come and eat our grass every afternoon.

Kayla has been busy watching her big bro at soccer and has decided to take it up herself. I have some video of her kicking the ball (she is AMAZING!) but I can't get it to load up here. So in the meantime here she is getting some ab work in :).

Kayla got to celebrate her 1st birthday up that the cabin- but of course we had a party here too before we went. Another milestone happened this week as well- Kayla started walking. We are learning that this little girl can do anything once she sets her mind to it. On Sunday she woke up and must have decided that she was going to be a walker from then on. By the end of the day she was even running and trying to carry toys at the same time!

11 Months

11 Months is quite exciting. I walk around furniture (but not on my own yet) and I LOVE to be in the pool. My other favorite new thing is to ride my own little car!

Uncle Brandon (David's brother) got married last weekend and I sure made the world's cutest mini-flower girl.

I know it's a little late- but the photo was taken on Kayla's 9 month birthday.  At nine months she was already pulling herself up to stand and now (almost 3 weeks later) she can stand for a few seconds on her own and slides a step or two along the furniture.  I am guessing we'll have a walker before her first birthday!

A BUSY BEE

We have a little busy bee on our hands. KK is "crawling"- she lifts herself up and then dives toward the direction that she desires to go. A total brave and determined one she is! She also loves grabbing everything in her reach: earrings, dishes- you name it! It is so fun to start to learn about her little personality. Kayla is filled with joy, loves people, and is persistent. With crawling and sitting on her own she decided it was time to do it one day, worked the entire day at it, and was a pro by the end of the day. What a delight this little one is!!!

7 MONTHS

Our computer officially bit the dust last week so we weren't able to upload the pictures of me on my 7 month birthday.  I am working really hard on crawling right now.  I've got this army crawl thing going on and I also lift myself up on all fours and then dive forward.  I am one determined little girl!  Pictures to follow as soon as the computer situation gets worked out!!!

Happy 6 Months Baby Girl

It feels like so much has changed in this last month!! I started to eat baby food- and I am an eager eater! So far my favorite thing is bananas. I have figured out that I can roll to places and I am enjoying being on the move. This week I also started to sit up on my own! It doesn't always last long but each day is getting better than the one before.
